Evo!Rogue - mid-twenties.

After the events of Evo, the X-Men enjoyed a few months peace... Rogue even managed to get through most of high school, until Magneto made another move. The Savage Lands. His own experiments, his own kingdom, his own 'take over the world' plan. Of course the X-Men went to stop it. And in the course of that going exactly to plan, Rogue became separated, temporarily lost her powers, and wound up wandering around in the jungle with Magneto.

After the Dramatic Rescue, Magneto - for reasons unknown - claimed a change of heart. He and Professor Xavier talked it over, and Magneto soon became another teacher at the Academy.

Scott and Jean threw a fit, but after watching the New New Recruits run Magneto ragged for a month while they got to sleep in, they came around. Until, of course, the alien invasion, and after they resolved that Jean started having nightmares and kind of... blew up and remade the world and died as part of this giant spirit bird thing. Yes.

Scott was devastated and went on walkabout.

Rogue and Kurt each stepped up to lead separate teams, with Kitty as the strong Kurt assist, and Rogue working closely with both Magneto and Logan... because it was around this time that Storm was attacked by the Shadow King and turned into a child. Sadly, their attention was divided by a world-crisis: A post-phoenix world desperately wanted a mutant registration act. After all that they had lost, Magneto was infuriated by this and once again renounced Charles Xavier's cause, stating that if only way those humans knew to act was with war, he'd give them one.

Fortunately, shortly after that a familiar-looking Cajun and a newly returned to her right mind and self Ororo Monroe entered the mansion: Gambit became an X-Man on her sponsorship. Things quickly became very interesting about the mansion - almost a repeat of high school. Their days were full of small battles against mutants who wanted to fight the registration act while dodging Sentinels and fighting the good fight against the Mutant Registration Act in the political arena... a fight it was becoming apparent that they were losing.

Everyone was relieved when Scott returned... until they learned that he was obsessed with finding Jean alive. Apparently, he'd been in communication with a Dr. Nathaniel Essex... Rogue was determined to get her old friend's head on straight, and devoted more and more time to him.

On a more personal note:
-Sage has joined the team, and is close friends with Rogue. She is currently working on boosting Rogue's mutant abilities to the point of her being able to access any one of her psyches at will.
-Rogue and Gambit are very much in an 'off again' stage, due to a very romantic moment being wrecked by the advent of Remy's blonde fiance
